Hi I am looking at switching to an IPhone from my android. Is there any apple users on here? Can you still download books to read on your iPhone?

Yes you can...it automatically downloads to your files.

i just use Books, which is native to the iPhone.

I use MapleRead now after testing many other apps. Apple ruined the Books app for me a few years ago and never fixed it. I mainly read on my ipad mini in landscape mode with 2 columns, just like reading a book. Apple broke it because now you have to use a small font size to get 2 columns. It didn't use to work that way. Every other reading app you can use whatever size font you want with 2 columns. If you're reading on your phone with one column of data the Books app is fine. I did like that the Books app will automatically sync between devices.

I second the use of MapleRead!! Apple Books (on my iPad) got really bug filled for me, kept deleting every book out of my library, then reloading them, often while I was trying to read something. I also had *heaps* of issues trying to transfer books from my laptop to my iPad. I love the ease of uploading titles with MapleRead.

I also use MapleRead. There is a free MapleRead app and a paid version. I paid for MapleRead SE because it allows me to sync across devices. With this app, you may alter the font size in EPUB files and choose different fonts for headings and paragraphs. There’s a level of customization that other apps didn’t have. With that said, I am sure there are other great reading apps for Apple. Download the free version to see which fits your needs. I hope you have a wonderful New Year.
