Yes - a boss, about 10 years ago, found out he could meet women on the internet. Well, he got tired of answering the 'same' questions over and over and decided to do a website. He asked me if I could, and offered me $3K to do it. I said yes (completely clueless) and made my first website using Frontpage and Lycos hosting. He realized other people could see his website and had me take it down a couple years later and we put up a work related site, and I've created multiple sites since then. I utilize alot of templates and make changes. It's easier to show clients 'this is what it'll look like' than to get them to use their imagination. Plus, saves time if they don't like it. ;-)

I would agree with most other people here and say that ther are so many options out there for wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) sites that you can be up and running very quickly.

Yeah, I used to do this when I was a graphic artist. Even designed a site completely in flash. (for an artist)

I don't anymore - I maintain some 'out-of-the-box' sites that host my podcast/blog etc. That mostly consists of uploading content and arranging my main page though. Nothing to that at all.

I *totally* don't miss doing the whole top down designing anymore.

Yes, and I still do. I am a freelance website and graphic designer and find that people with such a skill set are in demand nowadays, especially as the web presence is becoming more ubiquitous and is becoming necessary especially in retail/restaurants/etc. It's basically the easiest and most effective form of marketing.

I use a purchased premium theme for my blog through Wordpress. I love the ease of it, but I also love that I can customize it through the CSS Stylesheet if need be.
