I haven't read the book and I will surely do it now after I have watched seasons 1 and 2. IMO, I enjoyed Season 1 but it was nothing compared to what I felt after watching season 2. OMG! The tension and slow burn romance between Anthony and Kate is so argh! I'm living for these two at the moment. I totally ignored Anthony on season 1 but he has a glow up this season.

I did enjoy it overall, but nowhere near as much as season 1. All the back and forth was irritating to me, and I thought that the main two were overacting, I felt like I was watching a stage performance.
However, the one full love scene we got was much more romantic and sensual than the 'bang-bang, pull out' (LOL) we got from season 1.

Same here. I think it was a combination or the plot and the actors chemistry that dimmed it a bit for me.
