Rough 2022

2022 Started out with severe covid for my husband and myself. He wound up dying January 17th from the Remdesivir that they gave him in the hospital.
(My dad had passed away 2.5 months before that.)
It's been so hard after 45 years, now I'm alone! My daughters do not live locally, so I only see them a couple of times a year.
Then the end of August my son was found dead in a park in NYC from a drug overdose. (non drug user) So in 10 months, I lost all 3 of the men in my life.

I often wonder how I made it through the last year. I've aged 15 years in the last 6 months. The holidays were really hard to get through, but I made it and even had a nice time with family and friends. Then reality hits and I have to come home.
I don't know why I keep collecting books.....I have only read 2 books in a year.
I have stayed positive all year and I don't sit home and cry. (but when I am home, I do cry numerous times a day for a minute or 2).

My friends have been my rock. I can't wait for the warm weather again so we can get our boats and jet skis going and get back onto our beach!

Noting I can say will make things better, but I am sorry you had to go through all of that!
That is a lot of loss and stress to go though in such a short amount of time. *hugs*

I think it helps to follow routines at times, so even if you don't read the books you collect, it can pass the time and provide a distraction.

I am glad to hear you have friends to lean on when things are tough. I hope you can meet up with them and have a good time soon!
