This is a mills and boon book
The hero is Italian i think the heroine father forces her to marry the hero and she reluctantly marries him is very afraid of the wedding night and the hero is very rough with her following which she runs away from the hotel that they are staying at to England where her mother stays. The hero tries to reconcile but the heroine is not interested. After a couple of years the hero and heroine meet and the hero tries once again to get back together.
The hero and heroine are very young when they marry. hero confesses that he wasn't a good husband

The wedding night had a consequence the heroine got pregnant. The book ended with the hero and heroine finding out that their daughter is adopted by a family and she is cared by them.

The hero feels sad that he lost the opportunity to bring up his daughter but is happy that she is happy and they leave after seeing her happily playing with her family

The hero and heroine get together after that and plan to start a new life
