Opinion on crocheted bags?

Hello, everyone!

Besides reading (which I do incessantly), I also crochet and knit, both as a hobby and side gig. Lately on social media I've seen a lot of crocheted purse made out of T-shirt yarn, and I"m kind of interested in making one, but I'm not sure if it'll sell if I put them out. What are your opinions on crocheted bags vs. leather/pleather/etc. ones?

I personally don't like crochet bags that are made with granny squares. So so 60's. If you take a look at what the Japanese are producing in crochet accessories, I'd consider something like them, only because they look more refined. Now if you are intentionally looking for something 60's then by all means granny squares rock.
