I try not to judge a book by the cover, but if a cover catches my attention I am more likely to read the synopsis.

I have lately. I tried to avoid books with an AI cover that tries to look like it isn’t AI.

A bit yes, cover is my first check but I also read quickly the book blurb then at least first 2 chapters to get a feel if the story vibes with me.
