Do you judge a book by the cover?

To an extent yes, unless it's a favorite author or the book was recommended. There are so many books being written and I only have so much time to read that the cover art is what initially draws my attention. Then it is the job of the summary to make me want more. With my limited free time I have also been checking amazon for the reviews before I commit to reading a book. It is a byproduct of our busy lives.

Guilty. I have bought many a book just because the cover or the title (The Vamprie and the Virgin) was awesome.

I have to admit that at times I do. But, I do try to read the synopsis of the story and that helps me determine if the book is one I would like to read.

Yes my books must have covers..If it doesn't have a cool cover I pass.

Yes, The cover is usually the first thing to catch my eye.

Totally. Most of the time if the cover is bad I dont even try. Sadly, I have found that some truly good books have hideous covers. Suzanne Brockmann's Get Lucky is one example.

i used to select a book by the cover but these days I select mostly by author. If it is a ew author I try to read an extract to see if I like the style of writing

The cover is the thing. Seriously, the more attractive the cover, the more likely you are to reach for it first. Then if the blurb on the back appeals, you buy, if not, you shrug if off and go for another. It's the visual stimuli to the senses.
