Spotting fakes?

How can you tell if the purse is fake? It's so hard to tell these days...

Yeah, I know. I've been asking myself that too. Sometimes you have to touch to know it's fake.

The quality of the stiching is usually a bit of a giveaway, but you have to be able to have a close look.

It depends on the brand and style of course. I find with Bottega that handle stiching is a dead giveaway. Most fakes will have a black almost waxed finish along the edge of the handle to seal them. Real Bottega's are just very finely stitched at the handles and along all closures.
