Click-Lit, best authors and/or books?

So, I've read a few chick-lit books, some I liked, some I didn't. It seems they're a hit or miss. I haven't really gotten into the genre enough to know the good authors and books, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any recommendations.

I like heroines that are witty, but not annoying or whiny.
I don't like ones that go on and on about guys and relationships being shitty or they're in love with 2 guys and they don't know who to pick, etc.
I also don't like books that just focus on shopping, fashion and things like that.

Anyone have any ideas?

Jenifer Weiner's In her shoes is a good book. Emily Griffin's Something blue is pretty good too. Jojo Myers Me before you is very appealing and well written.
