Do you often wonder if writers that you have been reading for decades like Linda Lael Miller are still writing or if their names have been bought and are being used by other writers?

I've never thought about it when I know an author is still living, but it could be happening. I really think it is strange when I see new published books by authors I know have died. I feel like they are try to trick us into reading a book thats not written by a favourite author.

Ghostwriting is quite prevalent.
I assume all is fiction.
Also the name the author uses is legal ficton; person.

Only after thorough investigation and cross referencing can one discern consistency and what truth is.
