Hi, I'm struggling to remember the title or author of this book. Basically it's about this boy and girl who meet at an orphanage and they fall in love. However the boy gets adopted and has to leave the girl behind, though they promise (I think) to keep in contact. Years pass and the two have lost touch and the girl, now a woman is still pining after her first love. For a couple of weeks she has been stalked by this man who is actually the boy all grown up and now the CEO of this big company. When they talk though he keeps his identity a secret and proceeds to date the woman. However the man's adopted mom tries to get in the way of them as she wants the company's money and man for herself. I'm really close to banging my head against the wall as for the life of me I cannot remember what the book was called

does anyone remember the title for a harlequin presents book, 95% sure it was by carole mortimer, where the heroine is a secretary for the hero's brother and the hero's daughter and ex-wife are very interfering. I feel like the heroine's nickname is something cheesy like "bunny"? Thanks!

I don't remember the titles of 2 regency (or just XIXc.) books :
1) the hero (viscount or duke) just wants a wife who will be able to manage his family mansion he's just inherited with the title. The heroine is v. young and with large loving family but plain. He's cold and lefts her immediately after the wedding. She turns the mansion into a gem and goes after her husband and not plain anymore gets the attention of the ton and love of her husband. There is some bet about the race (horses, cart) involved, she wins.
2) parents (mother) of the heroine think she's dumb, she isn't (maybe stuttering?). The hero (with a title) just wants a dumb wife but discovers she is brilliant. First "disappointed" and angry, later falls for her. Sorry, I don't remember more.
