Thea Harrison, dragons, were creatures, djinn. I love her sense of humour. If you want something less romancy Faith Hunter's series Jane Yellowrock is good on action, mystery and paranormal components.

C.L. Quinn's the Firsts series. Christine Warren's Others and Molly Harper's Jane Jameson and Half Moon Hollow series are good paranormal romance with humor Also strongly rec Shelley Laurenston/ GA Aiken.

Rachel Vincent Shifter series, all the same characters in them, then there is her spin off Wild Cat series. Richelle Mead has a few grown up series, Dark Swan series (Fae) and Georgina Kincaid series (top favs) I also started reading a author by the name of Emma Hamm, I read her Goblin books and The otherworld (very good books), Kelley Armstrong is another great author. I just discovered Alanea Alder's series "Bewitched and Bewildered". if you like paranormal, romance and laugh out loud books, then this is great. Also, Eve Langlais, Paige Tyler, J.R. Ward, and Rebecca Zanetti are some of my other favorites.

I like T. A. White - Aileen Travers series, K. F. Breane fire and ice trilogy and the natural witch. As well as Serena Lindahl - Soul Tenders series.
