    Default Knit Hats Warm?

Are hand knit hats warm? Or are do the holes make for a cold hat when it's windy.

I have found that close knit hats work well in the cold

I only have knitted scarfs, I recently made one with the hat attached, It kept the back of my neck so warm.

Meh. It's the same as any other hat to me. It keeps me warm.
Maybe it depends on how bulky/thick it is when knitted?

When it's thick knitted than it's warm, but I have one with big holes and it's cold in the winter, especially when it's windy.

I crochet hats and scarfs they are very warm but if you use knitting loom the holes are very small.
