I enjoy both. I just recently started reading erotica and found that I enjoy it as well. I think it's because underneath those ******** goings-on, there's also a hint of romance. It keeps the story from being "too dark." I agree, Evangeline Anderson writes really well.

Erotica of course!!! (M/M in my case) Harlequin is just like a shy genre for shy people. it's for people who think "I like erotica but am too afraid to read porn stories"

I'm a gay man but I used to read Harlequin a lot back in high school. The books were translated into my native language. It's kind of surprising such books appear in high school library though Harlequin is not porn. But I often tore some pages with racy scenes LOL Hey, I had no access to erotic stuff (porn in any form is illegal here) and I was driven by teenage hormones! Straight scenes dont get me excited but I made the best out of it coz there's no gay material anywhere. Now that I hv internet and can get all the gay stuff I want, I dump Harlequin.

I read both; as long as the story is good and the writting flows.

I love them both. Harlequin has deff come up in raciness the last few years, I think they where sick of losing readers to erotica. But I still love my erotica no matter how much much Harlequin has turned up the heat.

Yes it depends on which Harlequin you are reading. But I like both as long as it's a good read.

Harlequin has added authors of color to their lineup, so I have started to read the Desire line again and they have definitely turned up the heat.
