Help find book about teenage girl that gets pregnant and her father tells her the baby was stillborn
Book Summary: The book starts with a teenage girl in a hospital while in labor on a stormy night. her father insists that she be heavily medicated. As the baby is born she hears it crying, but her father and doctor and nurse all tell her the baby was stillborn. 10-15 years later she returns to her hometown to find out her daughter is alive. The teenage girl's father had given the child to her dad, telling him that the mother wanted nothing to do with the baby. The baby girl was then raised by her dad and possibly her grandmother. When the biological mother finds out her daughter is alive, she then begins the process of earning her daughters trust while getting to know her. Her relationship with the girl's dad begins to rekindle.
Here are some maybe facts (little tidbits of memory that may or may not be part of the story, but sound kind-of right):
The teenage girl's father was a preacher/deacon, someone important in the community.
A headstone was placed for the baby in the cemetary of her hometown.
When she returns to her hometown, someone is trying to kill her to keep their secret.
I read this book sometime in the last 10 (2012-2020) years, but I don't remember if it was a current release or not.
I keep thinking the book was written by someone like Shiloh Walker or Maya Banks. An author that can write real tear-jerkers.
