I have an iPad so I switch from iBooks to kindle. I prefer iBooks if given a choice.

Thanks for all the advice, I've tried FBReader and it works great. When I used Kindle my phone kept saying it was low on space although I had only downloaded the app and had loads of space on my phone so I think I'll stick with FBReader

I have been using MapleReads on my phone. Thank you for asking this because I may check out some other readers.

I don't read too often on my phone but I do listen to audiobooks...a lot. In each case I use the preloaded ibooks app - or occasionally Libby and overdrive as both of those work with my public library. Everyone should get a digital library card! I will admit I usually find my books elsewhere but they have a decent selection of audiobooks.

I read on my laptop and I mostly use EPubReader but I don't love it anymore. It is ok. I recently started using Thorium Reader which is a Chrome add on app. I like it and I need to get myself into the habit of using it more often.

Which works best for Android tablet. I read epubs so Kindle is out and i like to be able to change lighting level and font and it needs to remember where i left off when i turn off tablet. Preferably a free app

Absolutely adore moon reader in Android. I got the pro version for a couple of dollars like a decade ago, still going strong.
