hi all

the book is 2 part in the old west i read it around 2 or 3 years ago

the first the lady come o town with her father her father dig for gold or something and the hero is a rancher there so her father get killed in an accident later to know that it wasn't then lots of things happen and they end up being married

in the 2nd book the lady is gone missing after having kids with her husband after a time her husband see her in another town and she didnt know him she had amnesia and she was using his name as her own name she was gone because some one ried to kill after she found their secret in her husband land
she was really spoiled but now not

so could any one help me find it

This was a Highland Historical Romance, I remember the Hero was a laird, he was tricked into sleeping with the Heroine. Her father made her sneak into his room, she was a virgin, he thought she was someone else. They ended up getting married, although he hated her at first for tricking him

I am looking for a historical romance novel. It is the third or fourth among a series, i guess.

The plot is something like this. One of the sisters is engaged to a rather conventional duke bust is in love with another guy, with whom she elopes. The duke is angry and is bent on revenge but then he travels somewhere with the other sister and falls in love with her.

Please let me know if this rings bells for any of you. Appreciate the help.

The book I'm looking for is a SciFi/Alien/Futuristic e-book I read a few years ago. Earth woman relocates to a different planet & falls in love with an Alien who used to be a Medical doctor on his planet.

Human woman relocates to another planet after her father dies. She buys a house site unseen,not knowing that the home is actually uninhabitable. The man is a alien in exile from his own home planet. He is a loner, grouchy and initially doesn't want anything to do with her (or anyone.) He's only got one male friend on the planet (the friend is married to a human woman who is not very intelligent but sweet.) The failure of the male alien's arranged marriage resulted with him being charged with a crime, losing his medical license and being exiled to this planet to live out his days. There is a storm and the earth woman has to stay with him instead of going to the home she had bought from him because it was destroyed in the storm. There are a couple of scenes in a local store around the drink sarsaparilla/root beer I think (the store also has a ice cream/soda counter?) The woman really likes the drink and the male alien thinks it tastes like crap and won't drink it, but does make sure they order some to take home. Another scene is where the human female is accosted by another male from the planet who grabs her and disrespects those in the store. The male alien steps in a deals with him. Also, on a trip back from the store, there is a huge storm which delays their being able to safely get back to the house. I think they have to pull over and wait it out for a while. When the human female relocated to the planet she brought with her a jewel her father gave her which, unknown to her, turns out is an energy source for which people will kill her to acquire. (She makes jewlery of some kind or sews stuff with little gems, can't remember ... it's her hobby or side income source.) The alien male's family is a powerful one on his home planet and they make sure he's comfortable on this new planet by making sure he has things from home to keep him comfortable, while working in the background to have the charges against him reversed. He has a big beautiful home and it is self-sustaining given the brutal conditions of the planet. The alien man and his family save her from those who want to kill her for the "jewel" that is the secret to a unlimited energy source. They end up a couple.

Hi I am trying to find a MM romance book. I can only remember a bit about it. It is about a guy who is in love with his brothers best friend. His brothers beat friend is away for work or military I think and when he is away his best friends younger brother is attacked and he goes home to help keep him safe. When his best friend picks him up to drive him up his best friend tells him how his brother has been attacked and he ends up being sick and that is how his best friends finds out he is in love with his baby brother. I hope someone recognises this story from my rambling

"It's a medieval historical romance published perhaps ~15 years ago (or earlier) and it left me rather disquieted but every once and awhile parts of the novel flash into my memory and now I want to find it again-- perhaps I would enjoy or understand it more as an adult.

I believe the heroine was Scottish and the hero was a knight/nobleman or Scottish laird. He was cold, cruel, and seemingly heartless and I found it unpleasant reading what the heroine endured from him throughout their 'love story.' (. . . That's probably why I felt disquieted and didn't bother retaining the book, convinced I would never want to read it again).

Towards the novel's conclusion, after the heroine had suffered heartache constantly, she was suddenly forced to flee the castle on horseback, in mortal danger (from the hero's enemies, iirc). I vaguely remember that by fleeing, she may have been trying to protect the hero from those who would use her against him but whatever her motive, she felt compelled to feign her own death so she could finally escape. She smeared blood (from one of the fallen enemies, I believe) onto fragments of her gown caught on the horse's saddle and escaped on foot and hid herself, hoping the enemies would be deceived after tracking the horse into believing she'd already been killed.

Instead, the horse returned to the castle. When the hero and castle guards saw all the blood on the saddle, they became convinced the heroine had been killed. Iirc, the heroine was not able to return immediately and by the time she finally did . . . the hero had descended into a state of total mental instability, literally insane with grief/anguish in the certain belief that he'd lost her.

Does this sound like it could be any of the medieval/historical romances already listed in this discussion . . . or another one you may have encountered? Thanks again!

PS: I seem to remember that there was a title keyword 'Lion' or perhaps 'lion' was part of the hero's noble title/estate name."
