    Question Ipad ibooks library th

    Hello Everybody,

    first off Happy thanksgiving day

    I need help or advise.

i have a third generation iPad stuck on iOS 9.3.5
i have been having issues with it lately! It has been slowly saying it's goodbye for the last year but now it's giving big bat signals!

i have almost 1800 books in there some I purchased from iBooks/iTunes Store (722 books) some from my own library and some books I've gotten here .
When I connect the iPad to my iTunes it only show me that I have 801 books.
i downloaded a trial version of apowersoft phone management also there I only see about 800 books

How do I not loose all the books? I had even made collections and organized some books into series/ authors
I have an iCloud account so it does back up but I am not sure it it will backup the non iBooks/tunes purchased books.
any help or advise would be appreciated

thanks in in advance to anybody who answers.

    Amy

I'd suggest adding all your books to Calibre?

Have you tried iExplorer? I recently transferred all of my music from my iPhone to my computer after my computer died and I had to get a new one. Apparently it also does books http://iexplorer-support.macroplant....y-ibooks-data-

I know that Calibre has a plug-in for itunes call connect share, but since I don't use the Apple ecosystem, I can't tell you how it works. However, if you have all your ebooks on icloud, I would think it should be quite easy to download them onto a portable HDD?

Inwill install calibre and see if I can get this plug in thing but the problem is I don't have a backup of the iPad on iTunes and as far as the cloud stuff goes for the non iTunes books most of them I opened them directly from forum to iBooks.
i am afraid I don't think it will last until I get a new iPad so I was trying to get a HDD back up of the rest of the books since I not entirely sure they are backup into the cloud.
    Thanks for the Info

I think I do get a bit paranoid about losing my books, so I try to make sure I have multiple backups

I would suggest that when you get your new ipad, to give ibooks a miss. Its the the ereader i used to use on my ipad too, but it was so frustrating when you change devices and you have alot of books and the sync just goes on forever, until it hangs!
I now use Marvin, and I have no complaints. I dont have to use it via itunes. And to back up my books on Marvin, I just open it in itunes and copy all the books in Marvin onto an external HDD. Takes only a few minutes. Buy the paid app vs free app.
