Nook or Kindle?

I prefer Kindle to nook. A big reason is because Amazon offers more book discounts and deals. Not to mention, there are more indie authors who published on Amazon. Nook readers are not bad but I hated how Barns and Noble rarely offers deals and almost always sell digital books at full price, which is annoying for readers who read a few books a week and is always browsing for new titles to try.

I prefer the Kindle Paperwhite over any nook.I've had them both. The Kindle PW is very easy on the eyes. The pages turn very easily without any effort. I use Calibre to covert my epub books to use with the PW.

I for sure prefer Kindle. I also use kindle app on all my other devices

So my old kindle no longer works so am looking at buying another Kindle. The one I'm looking at was released in 2022 The compact - with a 6", 300 ppi high-resolution display and double the storage.
Just wondering if anyone has one and if so what you think of it? I dont want anything fancy, I'm just a basic girl at heart

An to top its age, I had it in my ex prime account, when i went to move it to mine I couldnt add it, and Amazon's customer service told me, its too old, and you bought in the US (I'm from Spain and at the time Amazon wasn't yet in Europe...), so then he proceded to tell me that from now on I could only add pirate books to it

But the thing is, I like it so much I don't want to change, but when it gets stuck i start scrolling different kindles and still haven't decided on one yet, but always kindle

I have a Kobo Libra...it's bigger and lighter than my old Kobo AND it syncs to my Dropbox free account! I download the
book....upload to my Dropbox and sync my ereader. Wireless!! I love it!

Thats exactly the same Kindle what I got. I hadn't used in in years then with all the drama recently with Amazon and ebooks I thought I give it ago, only battery is dead and no amount of charging helps

I read amazon no longer supports this version of kindle, but to tell you that you can only add 'pirate' books is not good customer service on their part lol!

I don't want to spend X amount off money on a Kindle not when I have the above and a kindle fire (which still works)

So a few months ago I would have said Nook.. I have the older (a few actually) of the Nook with glo light with external storage (I bought a few extra when I found out that they were going to be discontinued, just in case I crack screen or it dies), I was gifted a Kindle, at first super frustrated with trying to figure out how to work it, I kept at it and played with Kindle settings and now I have to say that I haven't picked up my nook in a few weeks. I like the features of Kindle (Email books to kindle without having to convert format and that I can delete books from device). I love that I do not have to connect my device to computer to download books. So in short... I think I now have to say that I prefer the Kindle.

When my Sony T2 started dying last year, I did a lot of research and got a Pocketbook Touch Lux 5. It has a SD card slot so you can side load books you download from DPGroup, supports all types of formats, mobi, azw, even comics. I use Calibre to format books to my preference, but it may not be always necessary. It is wifi capable so you can use Dropbox, surf the net, read news, and it even has games, e.g., sudoku. The Pocketbook supports different fonts and languages and has all types of little tweaks that make your reading comfortable. The reader has 2 slider light settings for reading in different lighting situations so you can set the light that is exactly right for you. It's a great little 6-inch ereader.
